Assignment desk will provide the updates and collected news sources from reporters, press release, public contacts, News agencies such as Reuters, PTI and other net sources to the respective desks and the output editors in the each desk will decide how the information should go an air having all these options in hand such as location, country and topic Vo/Pkg/Gfx/Map.

Based on these elements the news would be combined together as news & visuals

Ingest room will have the facilities to monitor other news sources and OB van connection as well the videos sent by the reporters and they will make available for the editors to edit them. There are three major editing software’s are used such as QuantelSQ, Fcb, avita  and then adobe premieres pro.

Web Team (Online Team)

           Web team will monitor the news on the home channel and do the job of content editing and video editing; they are the one responsible for the entire web sites and E-Paper. Exclusively the major activity of this team involves in uploading contents, pictures and videos in the social media sites like Face book, twitter, and YouTube.

• Listening to viewers feedback queries and sending those queries to respective programming producer's attention.

I was involved in all these activities to learn by the help of social media managers in charge in.

Graphics Department

Graphics department will be responsible to create graphics based survey, special effects depending upon the need of the story. Output editors will guide the graphics team to design and give ideas to frame on.

Packaging Room (edit room)

 This is the room, where the voice over done for each visuals depending upon the news story.

PCR (production control room)

    Pcr plays a key role in the success of the entire team work. Because the entire news package would be in Pcr's control and they are responsible to react and handle through video-audio mixer.

The Pcr room will have video & audio mixer, Prompter, Multi screen LCD monitor showing cam1, cam2, cam3 and other out sourcing inputs.

The switchers must be capable of alerting the studio in charge, anchor and cameraman as well handling the right Q in the given time space.

The sound mixers in charge in would be using the fakers to add suitable audio output within a given time. All the above this needs keen observation and committed work passion. Often this doesn’t come under the category of journalism, though it is a considered as a technical area.  

MCR (master control room)                                         

This is the room where the entire package goes on air, the packages, adds sting will be handled here and they will also be in charge alerting Pcr associates to be ready for the next pkg.
