Platform bookshops are at risk

   Chennai, triplecane is well known for the history of bookshops but nowadays the amount of books and the customer’s entries have been reduced in to few. The platform shops were emerged during the British regime where foreigners made this coastal area as a place of selling handouts and books of various disciplinary. One of the shopkeeper in the area whose name is anbu (39) said that his father and grandfather have been running it as a service in providing worth selling books. It is interesting note that in the earlier times many number of students would come from the university of madras to buy books but nowadays the number of people who visit our bookstall is less and he is afraid of his bookstall business says anbu.
